Lowering Blood Sugar Levels Supplements

Questions

1. What is Diabetic Life Pulse “Pancreatic Simulation?” Pancreatic Simulation is a treatment using an FDA-approved medical device that mimics or simulates the action of a healthy pancreas. Generally, when a person eats carbohydrates (e.g. sugar), the pancreas sends oscillating pulses of insulin to the liver. The liver responds to this unique pulse pattern by making some 33 different enzymes needed by the cells of the body to metabolize carbohydrates. Carbohydrate metabolism creates adenosine triphosphate – the chemical energy all cells require to accomplish their functions in the body. For people with diabetes (both Type I and Type II), their livers are not receiving the correct oscillations and concentrations of insulin from the pancreas! Therefore, the liver does not produce and/or secrete the enzymes required for proper metabolism. The core problem of diabetes is improper cellular metabolism – high blood sugar is merely one symptom of this core problem. Diminishing cellular metabolism starts a downward spiral which inevitably damages all systems of the body. Our treatment can stop, slow, and even reverse this deadly decline! During our treatment, patients consume glucose as our pump sends the proper pulses of insulin intravenously to the liver. Adjustments in the pump concentration and dosing are continually made to assure that the body is metabolizing the maximum amount of glucose (carbohydrate) possible. Our treatment restores the energy the cells need to function properly.

2. How do you know the cells are properly metabolizing carbohydrates? In the clinic, we use a measurement system originally designed for sports medicine and cardiology departments called a “Respiratory Quotient Machine” or “RQ machine”. This machine measures how much carbon dioxide is breathed out (expired) while a patient is at rest. Diabetics are measured before our treatment, and their carbon dioxide output is typically low relative to a healthy person. When a patient finishes a treatment session their CO2 output levels are usually higher – meaning more energy is being made by the cells. Energized cells mean healing to the whole body!

3. What makes your treatment different from just taking insulin? Pills, shots, or standard insulin pumps only control blood sugar to keep it within a safe range. Such methods have no effect on increasing carbohydrate metabolism or preventing complications like neuropathy (nerve damage), heart disease, or blindness. Standard pumps, for example, can be programmed to deliver insulin in oscillating pulses. But because those insulin pulses travel through the skin, they are too weak by the time they reach the liver to trigger proper enzyme production. Therefore, many of the required metabolic enzymes are never produced and carbohydrate metabolism remains unchanged. With our therapy, the simulated insulin pulses are delivered intravenously. Within 4 seconds, the liver will experience the appropriate oscillation and threshold. Thus, the liver is immediately activated to produce and excrete the required metabolic enzymes. The cells throughout the body are quickly fed and begin to function properly. The result is healing throughout the body!

4. What does this treatment process do for these complications?

Neuropathy Nerve cells are highly dependent on glucose metabolism. Without glucose metabolism, nerve cells starve and die. When patients with neuropathy begin pancreatic simulation therapy, nerves throughout the body are immediately fed and begin to respond in a surprising but normal way – a reduction of painful and tingling sensations and/or the return of feeling where there was numbness! Some patients begin to feel their extremities before the end of the first session. Others will have sensation return in a number of weeks. Clinical trials showed that all patients improve their neurological functions on our therapy, with an amazing 65% improvement in nerve conduction velocities. That means besides reversing neuropathy, mental clarity and memory function are benefits of our treatment too! Patients with sexual dysfunction (both male and female) can also expect to regain function. Erectile dysfunction (ED) will be reversed if the patient was able to achieve an erection within the last 5 to 10 years.

Wounds Diabetes is the major cause of amputations in the US. These amputations are the result of wounds that become infected. One of the remarkable results of pancreatic simulation is how well patients heal wounds – even if the wound hasn’t closed for many years! Patients on our therapy exhibit rapid wound healing and future wounds are expected to be avoided as the skin gets healthier.

Kidney Disease Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) experience a loss of creatinine clearance (CrCI) of 8-10 “points” per year (units are ml/min) even when they are tightly controlling their blood sugar. With pancreatic simulation, this filtration-related number has been proven to improve dramatically. Patients with 1/3 of their kidney function (CrCI greater than or equal to 30 – 40) should never progress to dialysis. Those with higher kidney function will actually increase their filtration levels. This means that individuals with diabetes in CKD Stage 3 and 4 should never advance to Stage 5 (End Stage Renal Disease) and dialysis. All those in stage 3A will most likely begin to improve their kidney function. Also, protein in the urine will be reduced.

Retinopathy The cells in the eyes are particularly sensitive to glucose metabolism. Most patients experiencing vision problems due to diabetes report noticeable improved vision after just a few sessions at Diabetic Life Pulse Clinic. This includes color recognition, clarity, and brightness. Patients with diabetic retinopathy can expect to avoid further laser treatments and painful injections. Depending on the severity of their current condition, they should expect improving eye health and significant vision improvement.

Heart Disease Heart muscle especially enjoys the increased carbohydrate metabolism induced by pancreatic simulation therapy since it frees the heart from using extra oxygen for lipid and free fatty acid metabolism. Diabetic heart disease (cardiomyopathy), the cause of many diabetic deaths, does not respond well to tight glucose control. In fact, tight glucose control may worsen cardiomyopathy and reportedly causes more frequent heart attacks. Our patients with low ejection fractions can expect to return to significantly higher ejection fractions and higher energy levels. This reduces the chances of congestive heart failure.

Other Conditions • Hypoglycemic Episodes – Should be reduced by 98% and hypoglycemic awareness restored. • Hypertension – Clinical trials have shown a dramatic improvement in hypertension in just 90 days. Blood pressure medications are often reduced or eliminated. • Chronic Fatigue and Muscle Fatigue – Both are effectively treated by our therapy. Patients will see dramatic improvement, particularly where energy levels have been a problem. • Gastrointestinal Problems – Patients have seen relief in gastroparesis as a result of pancreatic simulation therapy.

5. How long does the treatment last? A typical treatment consists of three one-hour sessions with 30-minute breaks between sessions. At the end of the last session, the patient is monitored for another 10-15 minutes before leaving the clinic, to be sure all blood sugar levels are stabilized. The total time in the clinic will be between 4-6 hours, depending on a patient’s response to the treatment.

6. How long do I go between treatments? When a patient first starts with us, we recommend two treatments on two consecutive days to “kick start” the liver into producing the enzymes needed for proper metabolism. The patient’s next treatment is based on their body’s ability to maintain its carbon output levels. This is an indication of the liver’s ability to “maintain its charge” between sessions. Patients will return from 1-4 times a month until the diabetic complications have dropped to an acceptable level.

7. How long do I continue treatments? A typical diabetic needs regular treatments for 4-6 months, but it all depends on the severity of their case. Therapy continues until all major diabetic complications have slowed, stopped, or reversed. Each patient responds a little differently to the treatment, so the length of time before the side-effects of diabetes return (if ever) will vary. Patients can taper off clinic visits or stop entirely until there is any resurgence of diabetic issues. Our goal is NOT to keep patients coming to our clinic forever!

8. Do I continue to see my regular doctor? Yes, we encourage it! Patients of pancreatic simulation therapy should continue to see their current doctor and follow their recommendations. When not at the clinic, patients should continue to take their medications and continue to control their blood sugar.

9. Can I receive treatments outside the clinic? We are the only certified treatment center in Louisiana at this time, but more are in the planning stages.
