How To Keep Your Blood Sugar Levels Normal Axle

Each year after the excitement of the Big Blue Test campaign dies down a little, we are able to take a step back and start to analyze the incredible amount of data that we have collected. Here are some of the numbers that we found interesting and wanted to share.

For the first time, we collected a record-breaking number of entries. The data that we analyze below examines the first 35,000 entries that we collected between October 19th, 2014 and November 26th, 2014. There were entries from an astounding 120 countries!

Each year we see the number of people that do NOT have diabetes that participate in the Big Blue Test go up.  We attribute this statistic to the increase in the number of gym classes at schools and big community events that have started to log their physical activity.

One of our favorite stats to look at is how 14-20 minutes of exercise impacts the blood glucose levels of the people that submit this information to us. We all know that exercise is good for us, but if you need solid data to prove it, just look at the average blood sugar drop for Big Blue Test participants this year:

We love how much you guys enjoy walking. We think that walking is a very accessible activity that still has major impacts on blood glucose levels.  Check out how much you participated in each of these types of exercise and how they impacted your blood glucose levels on our way to raising $35,000 for diabetes-related nonprofits.
