Wash all the vegetables and juice them with the lemon or ginger. Serve decorated with slivers of carrots if you like.

Makes 200 ml (7 fl oz)

125g (4oz) asparagus spears

10 dandelion leaves

125g (4 oz) melon

175g (6 oz) cucumber

200g (7 oz) pear

Trim the woody bits off the asparagus spears. Roll the dandelion leaves into a ball and juice them with the asparagus. Peel and juice the melon. Juice the cucumber and pear with their skins. Whizz everything in a blender and serve in a tall glass with ice cubes.
