Eat Clean UK is a clean food delivery company established in early 2014.
Our chefs are experts when it comes to making healthy food taste great. Often when people decide to undertake a clean eating regime, they will stick to the same two or three dishes and quite often they involve plain chicken, broccoli and brown rice. At Eat Clean UK, we have developed recipes that are not only ultra healthy and totally clean, but also absolutely delicious.
We are not a fast food delivery company; we deliver 3, 4 or 5 days worth of food at a time to enable our customers to stick to a healthy eating lifestyle.
Our products are all chemical, sugar, dairy and gluten free. We believe that by eliminating these food groups and delivering food that is as close to its original state as possible, your body is able to carry out it’s natural functions without hindrance.
Dairy products are not as natural as they used to be. Dairy cows are intensively farmed and have daily doses of antibiotics and hormones to stop infection and to produce more milk as well as a chemical laden diet.
The milk of thousands of cows is mixed together, then pasteurised, homogenised and then sold to use as a health product. No other species on earth drinks milk past infancy and certainly not that of another animal, so that’s why we leave it out of all of our products.
The market for gluten free products is growing 30% year on year as more and more people omit it from their diets. But why? Gluten makes people feel sluggish and bloated and when on a gluten free diet it is much easier to lose weight and keep it off.
Gluten has been shown to slow down digestion and affect our tolerances to food. We use gluten free oats in all of our products.
Wheat is a cross pollination of grains that was introduced into our diet just over 100 years ago. Farmers made this hybrid because the yield was much greater than the grandfather grains such as spelt. As a species we have not evolved to digest this mutant grain and so in turn 97% of the population show intolerance to it.
The husk of the grain is thicker than PVC so we produce excess acid to digest it. The white inside the grain enters our blood streams as quickly as glucose and encourages our blood sugar levels to rise, our insulin levels go up and then we go hypoglycaemic.
Sugar encourages our bodies to release insulin which in turn draws the sugars out of our blood and takes them away to be stored as fat. Because the sugar we have nowadays is so refined it enters our blood stream very quickly and so our insulin production goes through the roof.
This gives us the extremes of hyper/hypoglycaemia or sugar highs and crashes as you will feel them. Once we are hypoglycaemic, we crave more sugar and thus end up on the cycle that increases our appetite and leads to obesity and diabetes.
We only ever cook with pure coconut oil because it remains stable at high temperatures. Cooking with liquid fats is dangerous because the structure of the oil changes at high temperatures and can become toxic to our bodies. Coconut oil also contains many medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs) which can be used efficiently by our bodies and helps us to burn fat as energy.
We use plenty of extra virgin olive oil, but we only serve it raw as part of our salad dressings or it is added to products once they have been cooked.
